Wisconsin Bishop Calls on All Catholics to Vote for Pro-Life Candidates

October 24, 2020

Yet another Catholic Bishop is calling on their flock to work to end the evil of abortion.

Bishop David Ricken of Green Bay, Wisconsin urged Catholics to “vote for life” during a sermon he gave at Mass for the diocese’s Respect Life Month initiative last week.

“Every child has a right to be born and a right to live,” he said. “61 million innocent lives have been taken in the womb in the United States since 1973, when the Roe v. Wade decision in the Supreme Court sanctioned and legalized abortion.”

“We will need to put our words and prayers into action in a multitude of tangible ways,” he added.

This isn’t Ricken’s first time speaking out on the critical issue of abortion.

In 2012, His Excellency said that voting for a politician who supports abortion could “put your own soul in jeopardy” because abortion is intrinsically evil.

On January 18, 2011, he blessed two crisis pregnancy centers in Appleton.

Bishop Ricken is right to highlight the need for Catholics to put their faith into action. Catholics who pull the lever for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on November 3rd will be complicit in the genocide of millions of unborn babies.

They’ll also be helping put into power a Democrat Party that’s openly hostile to people of faith.

Think back to the 2012 Democratic Convention when attendees booed as the name of “God” was inserted into the party’s platform. Moreover, at this year’s convention the phrase “under God” was omitted on two occasions when the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Catholics for God and Life in 2020 have documented these and many other anti-Life, anti-Religious Liberty, and anti-God policies this year’s Democratic ticket supports. Download our research guides, white papers, and FAQ sheets right now from our website and pass them out to your family, friends, fellow churchgoers, and others in order to prevent the slaughter of our pre-born brothers and sisters in the womb.

As Bishop Ricken himself explained in his homily, “the right to be born and the right to live is the most fundamental and foundational human right…without this right, there is no [other] right.”

Make sure to vote for life, and use the tools provided on this website to turn out other Catholics to elect pro-life candidates and defeat the anti-God, anti-life Democrats.
